IELTS トリビア その15 解答 問題に戻る
- Listening
- Is listening to a news bulletin (e.g. from the BBC or VOA) a useful way to prepare for IELTS ?
- Yes. Even though there are no news announcements on the exam, the news bulletins have monologues (like in Section 2 & 4) and contain more formal vocabulary (which is used in Section 4).
- Speaking
- If the examiner challenges my opinion about something, is that bad ?
- No. The examiner is simply trying to get you to say more. It doesn't matter which opinion you have (as long as you give a reason for it).
- Reading
- If I want to do the General Training exam, would the Academic Training practice tests be helpful ?
- Yes. The question types are the same in both tests, but the articles are shorter in the General test (in Section 1 and 2) and the topics are more of a general nature. Therefore, practicing more difficult tests (Academic) can help with the easier one (General).
- Writing
- In an agree/disagree question, should I put my own personal view in the conclusion ?
- No. It is better to show the reader which side you will take early on. Therefore it is better at the end of the introduction.
